Position Responsibilities:

Direct and empower two Associate Directors to shape the residential environment with a staff of 20 professionals, 12 graduate assistants, and 300 paraprofessionals using an updated residential curriculum, new staffing model, adjusted department file sharing/storage reboot, and innovative communications plan
Retune the departmental culture to minimize turnover by doubling the graduate assistant staff with Student Personnel Administration faculty, increase offerings for professional development to foster professional growth, and increase compensation packages
Completed a series of assessments to increase workplace engagement, in support of students, parents, and families and strategically inform departmental offerings and strategic plan

Selected Achievements:

Demonstrate fiscal stewardship of the $45 million+ housing proceeds to offer responsible budgets, capital improvements, deferred maintenance plans, and service agreements to increase residential satisfaction
Execute student experience upgrades with phased technological improvements, lounge renovations, adding two learning communities, policy revisions, and intentional partnerships with colleagues and vendors
Remain flexible and responsive to shifting institutional retention priorities by establishing two learning communities, and hybrid programming offerings
Revise behavioral precautions, emergency management protocols, wellness activities, mental health supports, and trauma-informed responses for students and staff
