Position Responsibilities:

  • Managed a diverse residential community comprised of 1225-1660 upper-class students housed within townhouses, apartments, off-campus houses, and hotel properties

  • Selected, trained, supervised, and appraised Masters level unionized professional residential educators and support staff; indirectly supervised paraprofessional staff and hourly employees

  • Administered a budget of approximately $200,000 which includes administrative, programming, supply, and work-study lines; prepared budget proposals, regulated staff expenditures, prepared financial reports

Selected Achievements:

  • Adjudicated hearings with sanctioning authority through housing suspension and student life probation; serve as an organization hearing administrator, conduct advisor, and standard board member

  • Provided leadership and support to promote out-of-classroom student learning goals based on assessment  

  • Coordinated, designed, and supported activities to increase student leadership development with special attention provided to support underrepresented, nontraditional, and marginalized student groups

  • Oversaw development for Japanese language immersion and Gender-Neutral living-learning communities and worked closely with faculty to align resources
